The truth you never know where you take the twists of fate. It I convinced a friend of changing from PC to Mac, and he was worried about that could be used to replace the Outlook, which for him is very important.
I recommended to take a look at Entourage in Office 2008: mac, because had understood that it was similar.
The truth is that in order to speak properly on the subject, last night I began to personally review the Entourage to see what could be done with it and not ... and stays on!! As you run, a simple wizard allowed me to import all my mail, including setting up incoming and outgoing servers, events and contacts from Mail, iCal and Address Book to Entourage DB, but at the same time allowing the event information and contacts are kept synchronized between Entourage and OS X native applications (iCal and Address Book).
The ease with which I can relate mails, calendar events, tasks and projects and categories people is simply fascinating. To me, that I receive daily emails from various clients and edit or gender-related documents several simultaneous projects is a blessing to have a central place to organize everything.
In short: I highly recommend them if you have never bothered to keep an eye on Entourage ... do it, do not repent and be surprised as me.
